The Amazon Web Services provider is facing an issue with delivering their cloud computing service. The apps and sites are facing service outages earlier today. Amazon is now on the way to fixing the issue because it has affected many apps and services.
A report on Downdetector shows that there are 50k plus AWS Service outage reports early in the morning, around 8:00 PM.
What are the reasons behind the Amazon Web Services outage?
AWS, the leader of web services, is the backbone of cloud services. It provides hosting, cache, database, and storage services to big gaming, social, and entertainment apps, including Snapchat, ChatGPT, Alexa, Fortnite, and Amazon. All associated apps started facing issues on Monday at 12:05 Am. The Amazon said that many apps reported that their services are not delivering to the customer promptly, and queries are unable to be resolved. Amazon Web Services said that we are working on fixing the issues. There are problems with the Database DNS. These reasons disrupt the delivery of steady services.
Which apps were affected by the AWS outage?
Snapchat
Snapchat is one of the famous social media connectivity apps. The app reports that they are receiving complaints from users as they are facing issues while connecting and losing friends and streaks.
Reddit claims the services are coming back to normal, but are not functioning properly.

X, the former Twitter, is also affected by the Amazon Web Services outage, but the owner announced that X works. That means X is not much affected by the AWS outage.

The online video game and gaming platform Fortnite is also receiving complaints from users. Their users are facing a login issue. They are investigating the issue to relieve their users.
Coinbase
Leading Cryptocurrency Exchange hit by Amazon Web Services outage. Their services are unavailable, but all the funds are secured.

AWS outage updates
Amazon Web Services is struggling to handle the situation. AWS shared that they are continuously investigating the problem. They are checking the entire cloud system of AWS, but they believe that the problem originated with the internal network.
Statement shared by AWS about the service outage
“We continue to investigate the root cause for the network connectivity issues that are impacting AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, and Amazon Connect in the US-EAST-1 Region,” AWS said.
“We have identified that the issue originated from within the EC2 internal network. We continue to investigate and identify mitigations.”
AWS is still trying to solve the problem, as reports are increasing continuously.
